USD 368 is accepting applications for an Assistant Principal/Athletic Director at Paola High School for the school year. Paola High School serves approximately 600 students in grades 9–12 and offers off‑site CTE programs in Criminal Justice, Health Careers, Welding, HVAC, and Auto Tech through partnerships with Fort Scott Community College, Flint Hills Technical College, and Neosho County Community College. Additionally, Paola High School offers a secondary virtual program via a partnership with the Greenbush educational service center, as well as an alternative education program.
Paola High School is a member of the Frontier League and sponsors athletic teams in football, volleyball, cross country, golf, tennis, soccer, basketball, wrestling, baseball, softball, and track, along with a cooperative swim team with Louisburg, Osawatomie, and Spring Hill. Activities and organizations include Cheer, Choir, Debate/Forensics, Drama/Theatre, FBLA, FCCLA, FFA, Instrumental Music, KAY, Robotics, and Scholar Bowl.
Paola is the county seat of Miami County, located in Eastern Kansas with a population of approximately 6,000 residents. With easy access to the Kansas City metro area, Paola and Miami County provide small‑town living with quick access to the amenities of the Kansas City metro area.

The Assistant Principal/Athletic Director works a 203‑day, 10.5‑month (August – mid‑June) contract with 13 days of paid leave per year.
Requirements- A Master’s degree in building administration from an accredited college/university.
- Current Kansas certification as a Building Administrator.
The ideal candidate will have previous administrative experience and a background in coaching/playing KSHSAA‑sponsored sports or sponsoring KSHSAA activities.
