The quality of school education available to students from low-income communities across India is abysmal. Their chances of attending college, or building a career are significantly lower than their high-income peers, condemning them to a life without voice or choice. iTeach was born in 2015 to challenge this status quo and create a level playing field for ALL children.

Key Responsibilities

A teacher at iTeach Schools wears multiple hats to ensure an excellent education for their students. The three different parts of the role are:

Teaching your subject (60% time)

Teach one or two subjects of your expertise to your class
Conduct regular tests and assessments to monitor learning and give feedback to students
Build a positive and strong school culture with a focus on learning and joy
Collaborate with parents of the students through regular meetings to ensure their active involvement

Mentoring students (20% time)

Mentor nearly 15-20 students throughout the year
Develop ways to ensure that these students have strong study habits, high attendance, and the drive to excel - share these plans with all teachers across the ecosystem

Help with school projects (20% time)

Collaborate with Senior Teachers to implement school projects such as Hobby Clubs, Career Awareness, Annual Day, Sports Day, etc
Use these opportunities to strengthen your leadership skills and mentor new teachers

Prerequisites

Required:

Bachelor's Degree with strong academic and holistic performance.
Preferred:
Art Teacher Diploma(ATD) / Bachelor of Fine Art (BFA) / GD Arts.
Preferred:
Teaching experience in a school for 1-2 years.

Compensation and Benefits:  We take pride in offering competitive compensation and benefits commensurate with the candidate's education and work experience. The salary range for this position ranges from 23,294 - 26,823 pm (CTC), and we are dedicated to providing top-notch industry benefits.
