Pillai University, located in the Mumbai 3.0 region of New Panvel, is recognized as Navi Mumbai's first state private university since its establishment in 2025 by the Government of Maharashtra. As a multidisciplinary institution, it offers programs across fields such as engineering, architecture, management, arts, design, and emerging technologies.

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Faculty of Design role based in Panvel, Navi Mumbai, India. The faculty member will be responsible for teaching various design courses, mentoring students, and guiding them in developing creative abilities. Key responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, delivering lectures, conducting workshops, supervising projects and research, and assessing student performance. The role involves active collaboration with other faculty members, contributing to curriculum development, and staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in the field of design.

Participation in university events, research initiatives, and industry collaborations will also be an integral part of this role.

Qualifications
Strong expertise in Design Principles, Design Thinking, and Visual Communication
Proficiency in tools and technologies such as CAD software, and other design-related applications
Demonstrated skills in Fashion Design, Creative Design, User Experience (UX) Design, and/or Product Design
Proven experience in guiding research, mentoring students, and contributing to academic curriculum development
Excellent communication, presentation, and teaching skills suitable for a diverse academic environment
Master’s or higher degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field
Previous academic or industry experience in design is highly preferred
