Job SummaryApartment Maintenance ensures the safety, functionality, and appearance of residential units and common areas by performing repairs and preventative maintenance. Key duties include fixing plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, painting, appliance repair, preparing vacant units for new tenants, and responding to emergency service requests.

$16 per hour
- Service Requests: Promptly respond to tenant maintenance requests (leaks, electrical issues, appliance malfunctions).
- Unit Turnover: Repair, paint, and clean vacant apartments to make them “rent-ready”.
- General Maintenance: Perform carpentry, drywall repair, and light plumbing/electrical work.
- HVAC & Systems: Troubleshoot and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Property Upkeep: Maintain common areas, including landscaping, pool maintenance, and trash removal.
- Inspections & Safety: Regularly inspect buildings to identify safety hazards and ensure code compliance.
- Emergency On-Call: Participate in 24-hour on-call rotations for urgent repairs.
- Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in HVAC (often requiring EPA certification), plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair. - Experience: Previous experience in maintenance, property management, or a related trade.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to interact professionally with residents and management.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
- Tools: Possession of personal hand tools may be required.
