Ford Diesel Technician
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Ford Diesel Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Ford diesel vehicles-particularly Power Stroke engines-while delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair Ford diesel engines, including Power Stroke systems
- Perform engine repairs, overhauls, and replacements as needed
- Troubleshoot electrical, fuel, emissions, and drivability concerns
- Conduct routine maintenance services (oil changes, filters, cooling systems, etc.)
- Use Ford diagnostic tools and service software to identify issues accurately
- Complete repairs in accordance with Ford factory standards and warranty guidelines
- Document all work performed clearly and accurately on repair orders
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Stay current with Ford technical bulletins, recalls, and training updates
- Collaborate with service advisors and other technicians to ensure timely repairs
Ford Diesel Technician
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a diesel technician (Ford experience preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of Ford diesel engines, especially Power Stroke platforms
- Ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues
- Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and scan tools
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ford Factory Certifications (Diesel, Power Stroke, or Senior Master Technician)
- ASE Diesel Certifications
- Experience in a Ford dealership or similar service setting
- Familiarity with Ford warranty repair procedures
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Dependable and self-motivated
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Professional attitude with a customer-focused approach
