Position Summary

A Part-Time Sales Associate is expected to drive sales and build customer relationships through excellent customer service and selling techniques. Responsibilities include product merchandising, sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. The key focus areas are customer service, sales, and teamwork.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Display basic fashion and trend knowledge, sell appropriate merchandise, maintain DTLR standards, and build customer relationships.
• Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Present a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression to customers, demonstrating enthusiasm for the job and company.
• Comply with all company policies.
• Participate in service training and product programs.
• Follow visual standards, complete daily restocks, and ensure adequate size representation per visual directions.
• Help prevent employee and customer theft.
• Maintain a neat and organized sales environment.
• Assist in keeping the store organized as directed by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, candidates should be able to perform all essential duties satisfactorily. The following are preferred:

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Skills and Knowledge

• Excellent command of English for effective communication with management, customers, and colleagues.
• Basic fashion and style trend knowledge, with a desire to work with customers.
• Problem-solving, analytical skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills for customer service, inventory control, and store maintenance.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods; lift, carry, push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work extended hours during critical periods; ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility.
• Reliable transportation is required.
