Registered Nurse Director - Cardiac Care Med/Surg (Full‑Time)

Registered Nurse Director candidates for the Cardiac Care Med/Surg opportunity will have the following job responsibilities:

• Enhance the department through performance improvement and appropriate utilization of resources.
• Develop an operational system that supports a seamless flow of patients through the continuum of care.
• Facilitate the development of a comprehensive education program for patients and staff.
• Collaborate with physicians to provide leadership throughout the department.
• Evaluate and make recommendations regarding new technology and services.
• Collaborate proactively with all interdisciplinary team members and with a patient/family focus to facilitate and maximize client healthcare outcomes.
• Coordinate multi‑disciplinary patient care conferences for high‑risk or medically complex patients.
• Lead research projects under the IRB.
• Direct the development of specific short and long‑range programs and project plans to achieve facility objectives.
• Plan and coordinate activities, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness, and having a major impact on other hospital areas.
• Effectively interview and select a qualified number of personnel required to meet department objectives.
• Ensure hiring practices conform to appropriate affirmative action/EEO practices and regulations.
• Provide direction to staff and supervisors.
• Review performance of department staff and approve staff evaluations.
• Take appropriate disciplinary action of staff members as needed.

Registered Nurse Director candidates for the Cardiac Care Med/Surg opportunity must meet the following minimum job qualifications:

• 5+ years of recent (within the last year) acute care RN leadership experience.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• (APRN) Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, or (RN) Registered Nurse.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) instructor certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
