• Provide direct nursing care in strict accordance with the established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization
• Assess, plan, and evaluate the comprehensive care needs for an assigned patient population throughout their stay
• Utilize critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to manage patient care tasks with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain professional practice, ensuring all care is documented accurately and completely in the patient record
• Perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, and the moving/lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds
• Demonstrate effective customer service abilities, including excellent listening skills when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure a coordinated and safe approach to patient care delivery

• Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing is required

• Acute Care RN experience is REQUIRED

    If the candidate possesses several years of overall RN experience, the acute care experience may be within the last five (5) years
• Prior Med-Surg experience is preferred (implied by the job title)

• Current FL RN license or appropriate compact licensure is required
• If a compact license is held, an active FL RN license is required within 90 days of hire
• Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider is required

• Demonstrated critical thinking skills and decisive judgment in clinical situations
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Strong customer service abilities and the physical ability to perform frequent lifting/moving tasks (up to 50 lbs)
