As an RN, you will have a strong background in medical-surgical nursing and be prepared to work across various units within the hospital as needed. The Float Pool RN will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in diverse clinical settings, adapting to the specific needs of each unit while providing continuity of care.

Job specification

• Administer medications, perform treatments, and monitor patient progress according to established protocols and individualized care plans.
• Quickly adapt to different units and patient populations, demonstrating flexibility and a broad range of clinical skills.
• Accurately document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions in electronic health records (EHR).
• Identify and report any issues or concerns related to patient care or unit operations.

Candidate requirements

• A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred; an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with relevant experience will be considered.
• 2 years of clinical experience in a medical-surgical setting, experience in a float pool, or similar role is a plus but not required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
