Job Summary and QualificationsWe are seeking a Pediatrics RN to join our healthcare team. Your primary function is to provide care for infants, children, and adolescents with an age range of 0-17 years. Care is provided to patients with a variety of medical-surgical diagnosis. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner.
In this role you will:
- Demonstrate knowledge and application of the nursing process to infants, children, and adolescents.
- Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Measure patient’s vital signs, such as blood pressure, breathing and heart rate, and initiates corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology.
- Perform physical, medical and diagnostic tests.
- Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications. Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
- Assist treating physician during examination, treatment and procedures.
- Provide education, information, and support to the patient’s family.
- Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing Required, Bachelor Degree in Nursing preferred
- Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
- BLS-AHA Provider issued card required within 30 days of start
- ACLS-American Heart Association ACLS Provider issued card required within 6 months
- PALS-American Heart Association PALS Provider issued card required within 6 months
- 2 Years acute care pediatrics experience preferred
