Verovian Healthcare Recruitment Agency is seeking a highly experienced, compassionate, and detail-oriented Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED) Registered Nurse (RN) to become an integral part of a fast-paced emergency care team in Panama City, Florida. This dynamic role is tailored for an emergency nursing professional who thrives in high-pressure environments and is deeply committed to delivering safe, timely, and patient-centred care in a freestanding emergency department setting.

As an FSED RN, you will be responsible for managing a diverse range of emergency cases, ranging from minor injuries to acute life-threatening conditions, in a facility that operates independently from a hospital but upholds the same clinical standards and intensity. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical judgment, exceptional critical thinking, and the ability to respond quickly and effectively to rapidly evolving patient conditions.

Your role will involve conducting thorough assessments, administering medications, performing life-saving interventions, and coordinating care across disciplines-all while maintaining clear communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

• Collect and analyze comprehensive patient data to assess health conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans to achieve optimal health outcomes.
• Provide professional nursing care while ensuring compliance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure the best patient experience.
• Maintain safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in care delivery.
• Lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in nursing practice.
• Demonstrate leadership and professionalism in the work environment.
• Perform unit-specific duties and float to various units as needed based on business needs.

Candidate requirements

Required:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma from an accredited institution.
• Current Florida RN license or compact license with active FL RN compact licensure within 90 days of hire.
• 3+ years of recent acute care ER RN experience (within the last year).
• Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification (Must be obtained within 30 days of hire).

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Advanced Nurse Practitioner license.
