Job Summary h3>
We are seeking an Athletic Trainer PRN (Per Diem / As Needed) to join the HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital athletic medicine team. The role focuses on providing high‑quality, compassionate care for athletes, including preventative and rehabilitative services, first‑aid evaluation, and game supervision. The trainer will work under the direction of a highly qualified sports medicine physician and will communicate with athletes, parents, coaches, and medical staff to ensure effective injury prevention and treatment.
Responsibilities- Provide preventative and rehabilitative care for athletes.
- Perform evaluation and first aid, and supervise practice and game activities.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, coaches, and physicians.
- Refer athletes for appropriate diagnostic and follow‑up procedures, and track injuries.
- Participate in community projects to promote the sports medicine service.
- Supervise club and recreational sport activities as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree or graduate from an accredited Athletic Training Program.
- Licensed by the Florida Board of Athletic Training, or eligible to sit for the exam (license required within 6 months of hire).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
