- Performs all onsite work in a safe manner adhering to all Berg pipe safety guidelines for PPE, lock out tag out, fall protection and confined space entry. Identifies and rectifies unsafe conditions for themselves and others.
- Receives instructions, hydraulic diagrams, blueprints, specifications, and software necessary to perform scheduled, emergency, or routine repairs, calibrations, and preventive maintenance.
- Interprets drawings, sketches, software, plans and determines best work procedures, tools, equipment needed to troubleshoot and repair problems.
- Uses AB and Siemens PLC software to troubleshoot and repair down equipment in a timely manner.
- Knowledgeable in the install and troubleshooting of all types and sizes of AC and DC motors, generators, transformers, circuit breakers, rectifiers, electronic controls, control panels, starters, switches, lighting equipment, electronic scales, power distribution, communication systems, inverters and motor drives, conduit, and fittings, soldering and replacing parts.
- Safely operates common industrial electrician equipment including but not limited to conduit bender, drill press, hydraulic press, bench grinder, pipe threading machine, man lift, forklift, overhead crane, etc.
- Operates electronic and electrical test equipment. (Megohmmeter, voltmeter, ohmmeter, amp meter, laptop, etc.)
- Using Maximo software, logs all job tasks, work assignments, and corrective actions daily.
- Performs other miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned.
- Must be able to work rotating schedules, which may include nights and weekends, and work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Passing score on electrical knowledge written assessment (Required)
- Successful completion of a practical skills assessment (Required)
- Post-secondary education (Preferred)
- Heavy industrial manufacturing experience (Preferred)
