Patient Observation Lead

Overview

We are hiring immediately for a full-time PATIENT OBSERVATION LEAD.

Location:

Ascension Sacred Heart Bay Medical, 615 North Bonita Avenue, Panama City, FL 32401. Online applications accepted only.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends and holidays, 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm. Prior patient observation lead experience is preferred; training is available.

• Lead daily work of other Patient Observation Associates.
• Communicate with associates, staff, client personnel, and leadership as appropriate.
• Coordinate associate assignments and ensure coverage; communicate with client personnel as needed.
• Provide float break coverage to support offsite accounts when applicable.
• Promote compliance with policies and procedures, and identify opportunities for standardization and process improvement.
• Complete shift reports, break sheets, and associate patient assignments to ensure coverage and support.
• Perform all duties of Patient Observation Associates; cross-train in Patient Transport and/or other departments when applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Previous patient observation lead experience is preferred.
• Willing to train new hires.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment and lead a team to ensure patient safety and observation requirements are met.

Fixed Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour.
