Location: Panama City, FL

Job Summary: Provide leadership for planning, management, implementation, integration, and coordination of the unit in support of facility goals dedicated to excellence, effective leadership, and financial stability. Support the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective patient care through activities based on facility strategic goals and objectives.

What you will do in this role:

Enhance the department through performance improvement and appropriate utilization of resources.

Develop an operational system that supports a seamless flow of patients through the continuum of care.

Facilitate the development of a comprehensive education program for patients and staff.

Collaborate with physicians to provide leadership throughout the department.

Evaluate and make recommendations regarding new technology and services.

Collaborate proactively with all interdisciplinary team members and with a patient/family focus to facilitate and maximize healthcare outcomes. Coordinate multi-disciplinary patient care conferences for high-risk or medically complex patients.

Lead research projects under the IRB.

Direct the development of specific short and long-range programs and project plans to achieve facility objectives.

Responsible for planning and coordination of activities, operational efficiency, and effectiveness, impacting all hospital areas.

Interview and select qualified personnel to meet department objectives, ensuring hiring practices conform to Affirmative Action/EEO regulations.

Provide direction to staff and supervisors, review performance, approve evaluations, and handle disciplinary actions as needed.

Qualifications:

At least 2-3 years of recent acute care supervisor/manager level experience in an adult inpatient setting.
Bachelor's Degree required.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
Registered Nurse or Advanced Nurse Practitioner licensure.
