Director of Behavioral Health
Ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall function and staffing of the unit(s)/department(s) in addition to forecasting, planning, and budget monitoring. Fosters a culture of accountability and collaboration and supports the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures in support of facility objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Reports to the CNO.
- Manages a department of 48 beds with an average daily census of 38.
- Oversees approximately 24 full time employees.
- Leads and develops the Behavioral Health Unit and collaborates with other departments.
- Fosters compassionate leadership and manages pressure.
- Minimum 5 years recent (within the last year) Acute Care Inpatient Behavioral Health Manager or Assistant Nurse Manager experience.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- RN license.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 90 days of employment start date.
- Fingerprint required.
