đź’™ About the Role

Pan Care of Florida isseekingan experienced and strategic Director of Compliance to lead and strengthen our corporate compliance and risk management programs as our organization continues to grow. This role serves as a key advisor to executive leadership and works in close partnership with the Chief Quality and Compliance Officer (CQCO) to promote a culture of accountability, ethical excellence, and regulatory integrity across the organization.

The Director of Compliance is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing enterprise-wide compliance initiatives that ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures. This position plays a critical role in protecting Pan Care’s mission, patients, staff, and organizational sustainability.

What You’llDo

In this role, you will:

  • Develop, implement, and manage Pan Care’s comprehensive Corporate Compliance Program, including policies, procedures, audits, training, monitoring, and reporting
  • Maintain and oversee the Corporate Compliance Plan
  • Monitor and interpret healthcare regulatory requirements, including HRSA, CMS, OIG, HIPAA, and applicable state laws, and ensure organizational compliance
  • Serve as Pan Care’s HIPAA Privacy Officer, proactively reviewing reports and investigating potential and confirmed privacy violations
  • Lead and oversee internal compliance investigations and develop corrective action plans as needed
  • Conduct enterprise-wide risk assessments and coordinate mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with Human Resources, Legal, Finance, Clinical, and Operations teams to ensure compliance alignment across departments
  • Direct compliance education and training programs for staff and leadership
  • Oversee day-to-day compliance operations, including monitoring, testing, and auditing activities
  • Prepare and present compliance and risk reports to the Board of Directors, Compliance Committee, executive leadership, and CQCO
  • Ensure compliance with all grant and program requirements, including FTCA and HRSA program expectations
  • Coordinate FTCA applications and ensure required documentation is collected and maintained throughout the year
  • Oversee contract management processes, ensuring timely renewals and completion of Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) and required forms
  • Partner with leadership in completing the Annual Hazard Vulnerability Analysis (HVA)
  • Maintain accurate, current compliance documentation and records
  • Stay informed of best practices and emerging trends in healthcare compliance and risk management
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational compliance objectives
Required Skills & Abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, HRSA requirements, and OIG Compliance Program Guidance
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership, boards, and cross-functional teams
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
  • Regular and predictable attendance
Education & Experience
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing , Healthcare Administration, Business, Law, or a related field required
    • Master’s degree or Juris Doctor (JD) preferred
  • Certification:
    • Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or related certification preferred
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of healthcare compliance experience
    • At least 3 years in a leadership role
    • Prior FQHC experience strongly preferred
  • Other Requirements:
    • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed
