- Perform lofting, nesting, and template preparation as required by project level.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Production teams to support fabrication processes.
- Support plate and structure planning for hull and outfitting items.
- Address drawing clarifications and part location requirements.
- Use 3D models to support production clarity and build strategy alignment.
- Participate in continuous improvement and support project documentation efforts.
- Perform other duties as required.
Experience:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in marine or structural lofting, preferably in a shipyard environment.
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in CAD/CAM tools including AutoCAD, Rhino, and nesting software.
- Solid understanding of ship structure and 3D models.
- Ability to interpret and troubleshoot design discrepancies.
- Ability to lead complex layout planning and resolve production issues.
- Expertise in structural lofting and nesting with various software platforms.
- Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring abilities.
Work may occur both in an office and occasionally in production or shipyard settings. Noise level is generally moderate.
