Located 100 miles west of Tallahassee, FSU Panama City houses 20 bachelor’s programs, 8 master’s programs and 1 doctoral program and boasts a small faculty‑to‑student ratio.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Social Work programs based on qualifications.
- Oversee new developments and/or lead program outreach for the Social Work program; anticipate unique leadership or administrative service responsibilities.
- Be an essential team member to the program and supporter of student success.
- Engage in teaching innovations, high‑quality instruction, and oversee student projects and fieldwork as needed.
- Participate in related service to the Program, College, and Campus.
- Opportunities for engagement in research, though not a required component of these teaching faculty positions.
- Ph.D. in Social Work (or related field) or a doctorate degree in addition to an MSW Degree from an accredited institution.
- Previous experience teaching at the university level, demonstration of excellent communication and interpersonal skills, applied experience specific to Social Work, and a strong commitment to student success.
- Candidates who are ABD will be considered.
- Strong academic leadership or other faculty administrative experience with interests and abilities to teach and serve as a program leader.
- Licensed as LCSW with strong skills in teaching and mentorship.
- A breadth of teaching and social work experience covering an array of core and elective course topics.
