Overview
Five Rivers, an Akima company, is seeking a Material Coordinator to provide user support for the Operating Materials and Supply (OM&S) and General Equipment (GE) programs at NSWC PCD in areas of inventory, quality assurance, research, documentation, reporting and analysis. The contractor will access and apply a strong working knowledge of all OM&S functions within the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) system.
This role requires proficiency in the latest Navy-used version (currently 2016) of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to communicate orally and in writing with personnel across NSWC PCD.
- The Contractor shall provide support to include, but not limited to:
- Extrapolate data from NERP and use this data to create reports with a high level of accuracy.
- Prepare presentations and spreadsheets used to convey OM&S status to NSWC PCD management and staff monthly.
- Monitor abnormal or trending conditions with OM&S for use in process analysis and/or improvement.
- Support the development, refinement, and localization of NSWC PCD OM&S training.
- Support in the preparation of NSWC PCD OM&S training materials.
- Support in the conduct of OM&S training and its application to NSWC PCD missions and processes.
- Provide OM&S user support for a diverse group of scientists, engineers, logisticians, accountants, supply chain personnel, ware housemen, and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) personnel.
- Perform Quality Assurance functions to support Procurement Request (PR) creation and Key Supporting Documents (KSDs).
- Support in the research and identification of frustrated material. This is material received with no or incorrect documentation, and so requires research to determine the owner and financial accounting line.
- Archive official records as needed using the guidance of SECNAV M-5210.1 CH-1, using the Navy’s prescribed records management system.
- Provide support in the Customer Acquisition Group by creating Unique Material Masters and extensions. Prepare and create Requirement forms based on information provided by the customer. Provide support in the researching and identification of OM&S and General equipment with customers while utilizing mandatory sources with One Touch and Haystack.
- Security Clearance: Must have a favorably adjudicated Background Investigation for access to Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
- Education & Experience: Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
