Location:

Store, Winn-Dixie.

As a guardian of the Self-Checkout area, your role protects the company against inventory losses or fraud by overseeing accurate scanning and recording of products. You will monitor transactions, address issues, and collaborate with leadership to prevent loss. Exceptional customer service is paramount as you assist customers with the self-checkout process.

• Observe self-checkout transactions to identify irregularities or suspicious activities.
• Ensure customers scan and bag items correctly, intervening when necessary to verify accuracy.
• Respond promptly to POS alerts and investigate potential transaction issues or item discrepancies.
• Report incidents of theft, suspicious behavior, or equipment malfunctions to store leadership.
• Provide outstanding service by proactively assisting customers, educating them on the self-checkout process, and engaging customers in a friendly manner.
• Keep work area clean, orderly, and free from safety hazards: stock self-checkout supplies, clean and sanitize equipment, return carts to corral.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Basic computer skills for online training.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. or the ability to obtain the same.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
• High standard of integrity and reliability.
• High School / GED preferred.
• 0-3 years supervisory experience preferred (not required).
