Overview
We are seeking a Medical Surgical CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), also referred to as Med‑Surg CNA. A Med‑Surg CNA will assist with patient care by supporting daily activities, mobility, feeding, and vital signs while monitoring for any changes. Additionally, the Med‑Surg CNA will help nurses by maintaining supplies, assisting with wound care, and ensuring a clean, safe environment.

- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Help with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients to prevent skin breakdown; feed patients who need assistance and monitor intake/output.
- Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration), observe and report changes in a patient’s condition to nurses; help with wound care under the direction of an RN.
- Stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms, ensuring the environment stays clean and safe.
- Assist in transporting patients within the hospital.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Minimum six months’ previous experience in an acute‑care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
