During the Fall and Spring, student employees are allowed to work a maximum of 20 hours per week and must be enrolled in 6 or more credit hours. During the Summer, holiday break and spring break student employees are allowed to work a maximum of 25 hours per week. Summer only, students must be enrolled in 3 or more credit hours.
Student employees must always maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.

The Art and Music Lab Assistant is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the art and music labs at Moraine Valley Community College. This role involves maintaining a clean and organized lab environment, assisting students, and troubleshooting basic equipment issues.
- Eligibility Requirements:
- Must have completed an introductory course in art or music at Moraine Valley Community College. Courses from other institutions do not qualify.
- For art lab positions, eligible courses include:
Ceramics I, Digital Photography, Printmaking I, 2D Design, 3D Design, and Intro to Computer Art. - In order to work in the art or music lab you must have taken the introductory class in that area or have equivalent experience in ART or MUSIC. This is NOT a science lab.
- For example, you must have taken Ceramics I in order to work in the Ceramics lab.
- This position may require a background check. Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
