The Art and Music Lab Assistant supports the daily operations of the art and music labs at Moraine Valley Community College. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized lab, assisting students, and troubleshooting basic equipment issues.
Eligibility Requirements: Must have completed an introductory course in art or music at Moraine Valley Community College. Courses from other institutions do not qualify. For art lab positions, eligible courses include:
Ceramics I, Digital Photography, Printmaking I, 2D Design, 3D Design, and Intro to Computer Art. You must have taken the introductory class in that area or have equivalent ART or MUSIC experience. This is NOT a science lab. Example: you must have taken Ceramics I to work in the Ceramics lab.

Special Instructions to ApplicantsDuring the Fall and Spring, student employees are allowed to work a maximum of 20 hours per week and must be enrolled in 6 or more credit hours. During the Summer, holiday break and spring break student employees are allowed to work a maximum of 25 hours per week. Summer only, students must be enrolled in 3 or more credit hours.
Student employees must always maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
