The Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning oversees curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional development across the district. This role ensures that teaching aligns with district goals, state standards, and best practices. The Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning works collaboratively with administrators, teachers, and community partners to enhance student learning and promote a shared vision.
Portrait of a Learner AlignmentThe Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning plays a vital role in promoting the district’s Portrait of a Learner vision. This position ensures that the skills of Perseverance, Innovation, Wellness, Communication, and Citizenship are purposefully incorporated into curriculum and instruction. The Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning works with staff to embed these skills into teaching methods, learning activities, professional development, and ongoing improvement efforts that prepare students for their future.
