We are an early‑stage, venture‑backed AI company building the infrastructure to bring artificial intelligence into physical environments, creating a foundation model that understands and interacts with real‑time sensor data.

Staff Software Engineer to own the architecture and reliability of our Physical AI agent framework, building core abstractions, backend services, and orchestration layers for production‑grade AI agents.

• Lead design and implementation of the backend framework for Physical AI agents.
• Define APIs and extension points for internal teams.
• Build high‑performance services and data pipelines for agent orchestration, state management, and event processing.
• Set engineering standards (testing, CI/CD, maintainability).
• Utilize AI‑assisted development while owning architectural decisions.
• Ensure enterprise‑ready reliability through observability, containerized deployment, and fault‑tolerant design.
• Partner with Product and Platform teams to refactor common customer patterns into the core platform.

• 7+ years of experience in backend systems, architecture, and infrastructure.
• Proven experience designing shared libraries, SDKs, or internal platforms.
• Deep expertise in Type Script and Python.
• Competence in at least one high‑performance language (Rust, Go, C++, or C#).
• Strong understanding of distributed architecture, microservices, and eventual consistency.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with event‑driven architectures and streaming technologies (Kafka, NATS, etc.).
• Comfort using AI coding assistants to accelerate output.

• Experience with time‑series data, video feeds, or sensor telemetry.
• Familiarity with industrial protocols (MQTT, RTSP, Modbus) or edge computing constraints.
• Experience implementing tracing and monitoring (Open Telemetry, Prometheus, etc.).
• Background in Solutions Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering, or technical consulting.
• Prior experience deploying machine learning models or agents into production workflows.
