Garda World Security Services is now hiring a Surveillance Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Operator. The role involves monitoring screens and responding to incidents in a GSOC or related environment.

• Location:
  
  Santa Clara, CA
• Set schedule:
  Part time, 16 hours per week.
• Friday / Saturday, 6:00am - 2:30pm
• Competitive hourly wage of $33 / hour (Daily Pay is available for Garda World employees!)

• The individual will work in a GSOC setting assisting the GSOC manager with any tasks assigned during their shift.
• The Operator will monitor multiple screens in an environment also using a variety of tools such as access control and alarm monitoring systems, business intelligence sources, open‑source media, Internet, and in‑house tools.
• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Investigate alarms and respond by sending security patrol, or alerting Fire services or Police as needed.
• Conduct investigations using numerous applications to confirm or deny any accusations or events reported to the Global Security Team.
• Have the ability to multitask under stressful or intense circumstances.
• Support the GSOC Manager in the completion of necessary tasks.
• Excellent customer service is always your top priority.
• Observe, survey the area and provide reporting on activity at your assigned location.
• Provide rapid response in critical situations.
• Be proficient in reading and writing detailed reports.
• Know when and how to enforce customer procedures, regulations and standards.

• State security license and additional 32‑hour BSIS security training (additional security trainings can be obtained during the hiring process).
• Minimum two years of GSOC experience.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Active driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Experience creating and issuing badges.
• Experience using a variety of different systems.
• Provide a current GSOC resume.
• Documentation of High School Diploma or GED.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.Pass an extensive screening process.
• Strong report‑writing skills.
• Good eyesight and strong focus.
• Strong proficiency with technology.
• Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience – even better.
