The Licensed Optician delivers the brand value proposition and helps establish Lens Crafters as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community. By delivering legendary customer service and perfectly crafted high‑quality eyewear, we exceed customer expectations.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Welcome all customers and set expectations
  • Custom‑fit glasses and precisely place prescription in lenses
  • Act as a leader in optical acumen
  • Take measurements, accurately adjust/fit eyewear, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs
  • Assists team with complex product needs and prescriptions
  • Use technology accurately and thoroughly, even under time pressure and high customer volume; demonstrate exceptional product knowledge and appropriate tool use
  • Proactively explore root causes of issues, forward‑think, and ensure customers are satisfied with expectations exceeded and solutions delivered
  • Multitask, prioritize and manage time with competing priorities
  • Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies
  • Maintain store appearance, help keep the store clean, attractive, and organized
  • Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices
  • Show resourcefulness, self‑motivation, and a desire for continual learning, improvement, and results
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management
Basic Qualifications
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • State licensure
  • Optical dispensing experience
  • Strong customer service skills; excellent communicator, listener, and team builder
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise
  • Strong basic math skills
  • Awareness of current fashion trends
  • Sales skills – ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet
  • Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators
  • Embrace new technology and change
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous customer service and retail experience
Pay Range

25.02 – 39.02

Benefits

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. You may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan to complement a first‑class total rewards package.
