Salary Range $19.61 - $24.51

• The Restaurant Server Assistant maintains setup in the dining rooms to ensure guests receive food and beverage service that meets Neiman Marcus standards.
• Focuses on table maintenance in the dining room, including clearing and re-setting tables.
• Delivers popovers, butter, and pours water; delivers food and beverage to guests as indicated by kitchen tickets.
• Maintains the bus station and beverage areas; learns table numbers and sections in the dining area.
• Assists kitchen staff and service staff with service needs (e.g., additional customer requests, restocking plates, bagging “to go” orders, setting up expediter station).
• Assists waitstaff with service needs, refilling beverages and running food from the kitchen to the dining room as needed.
• Sets up the dining room with key items, including coffee, iced tea, and ice; maintains dining room by restocking glasses, flatware, and linens.
• Participates in daily pre-shift meetings; executes pre-shift, post-shift, and daily/weekly duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Handles lifting and moving objects (e.g., tables, chairs, highchairs) and maintains cleanliness of the restaurant and workstation.
• Maintains the highest level of hygiene standards, including appropriate uniform and personal grooming requirements; reports to work area dressed to perform duties.

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in serving food and beverages and following proper table service guidelines.
• Ability to work autonomously; motivated and results-driven.
• Knowledge of proper placement of china, glass, and flatware for table settings.
• Thorough knowledge of order of service and proper placement of table settings, food, and beverages as indicated by kitchen tickets and guidebooks.
• Knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology.
• Ability to interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties simultaneously.
• Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills; a "Win together" mentality.
• Role requires standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds.
• Associates must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The starting salary/hourly rate for this position is between the stated range. Factors which may affect starting pay include market, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for bonus or long-term incentive compensation, where applicable.
