Server, Server​/Wait Staff

Overview

The Clement Hotel Palo Alto is seeking a skilled Server to join our team. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that guests have an unforgettable dining experience, primarily at the Rooftop Pool. You will also be responsible for providing the same exceptional service to guests in the dining room when needed.

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Accurately take and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner
• Ensure that guests have a positive experience by anticipating their needs
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

• Previous experience as a Server or in a similar role
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• 2+ years directly related to serving and/or bartending experience is required; those with fine dining, upscale and/or luxury hotel experience will be strongly preferred.
• Must possess well rounded food and beverage knowledge (including food allergies, craft cocktails, wine, beer, whiskey, etc.) with a strong ability to educate our guests on our menu offerings
• Must be an excellent communicator with fluency in English required; those with bi-lingual abilities will be preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule that will include late nights, weekends and holidays
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid food handlers and alcohol server certification

• Competitive compensation of $20.00 per hour paid bi-weekly
