Overview
The Greicius Lab at Stanford University invites applications for a Clinical Research Coordinator. This is a joint position with another CRC to gain research experience in genetics. The ideal candidate will participate in data collection, processing, and analysis in a diverse laboratory setting. The lab investigates neurodegenerative disorders with an emphasis on Alzheimer’s Disease using statistical methods on multiomic datasets. We have a dataset of 1000+ long-read sequencing genomes with associated proteomics, expression, clinical, and biomarker data.
The Greicius Lab is a launchpad for MD and/or PhD programs.
- Serve as primary contact with research participants, sponsors, and regulatory agencies. Coordinate studies from startup through close-out.
- Determine eligibility of and obtain consent from study participants according to protocol. Assist in developing recruitment strategies.
- Coordinate collection of study specimens and processing.
- Collect and manage patient and laboratory data for clinical research projects. Manage study databases, develop flow sheets and other study documents, and complete study case report forms.
- Ensure compliance with research protocols, review and audit case report forms for completion and accuracy with source documents. Prepare regulatory submissions and ensure IRB renewals are completed.
- Assemble study kits for visits, monitor scheduling of procedures and charges, coordinate documents, and attend monitoring meetings with sponsors as primary contact.
- Monitor expenditures and adherence to study budgets; resolve billing issues in collaboration with finance/management staff.
- Interact with the principal investigator regularly to ensure patient safety and proper study conduct.
- Maintain essential documentation and recording of patient and research data in appropriate files per institutional and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in monitor visits and regulatory audits.
- Other duties may also be assigned.
- Knowledge of basic programming in Python, R and/or the UNIX environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of genetics is desirable but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Neuroscience, Cognitive Neuroscience, Psychology, or a related field is desirable.
Two-year college degree and two years related work experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of related education and relevant experience.

- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Society of Clinical Research Associates or Association of Clinical Research Professionals certification is preferred.
Physical Requirements- Frequently stand, walk, twist, bend, stoop, squat and use fine grasping.
- Occasionally sit, reach above shoulders, perform desk-based computer tasks, use a telephone, write by hand, lift, carry, push, and pull objects that weigh up to 40 pounds.
- Rarely kneel, crawl, climb ladders, grasp forcefully, sort and file paperwork or parts, rarely lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing 40 pounds or more.

Occasional evening and weekend hours.
Salary & BenefitsThe expected pay range for this position is $34.56 to $40.30 per hour. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing a good faith estimate of the salary. The pay offered will be determined based on factors such as scope and responsibilities, qualifications, departmental budget, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay. Stanford also offers a comprehensive rewards package; specifics are discussed during the hiring process.
