Contract Position

** Position Overview*
* We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse (PACU) to join our team in a high‑quality, patient‑focused postoperative care environment. The Clinical Nurse provides direct nursing care within the California Nursing Practice Act and established standards of care. This role supports patients recovering from anesthesia with strong clinical judgment, compassionate communication, and evidence‑based practice.

** Key Responsibilities*
* + Create and maintain a healing, supportive environment for patients and families.

+ Collect, interpret, and evaluate patient assessment data to determine appropriate nursing interventions.

+ Develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans in collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare team.

+ Deliver safe nursing and medical interventions and monitor for adverse responses.

+ Educate patients and families on recovery expectations, self‑care, and prevention of complications.

+ Participate in teaching and supporting other nursing staff as needed.

+ Respond effectively to emergency situations and activate protocols when necessary.

+ Promote patient and staff safety and contribute to ongoing quality improvement.

+ Prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks effectively; delegate when appropriate.

+ Utilize clinical technology for documentation, communication, and care management.

+ Maintain professional competency and engage in continuous learning.

** Education*
* + Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

** Required Skills & Abilities*
* + Strong ability to communicate effectively in English.

+ Excellent clinical judgment and critical‑thinking skills.

+ Ability to respond rapidly to changes in patient condition.

+ Collaborative, team‑oriented mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.

** Licenses & Certifications*
* + Current California RN License required.

+ American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

+ Additional PACU‑related certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS) may be preferred.
