As an Assistant Patient Care Manager in CVOR, you will support the Patient Care Manager in clinical management and administrative coordination of a designated unit(s). This role combines clinical patient care responsibilities with leadership, coaching, and workflow improvement.

What You Will Do
  • Assist the Patient Care Manager with operational aspects of the unit and provide mentoring and leadership support.
  • Supervise quality patient care in accordance with hospital protocols, policies, and desired outcomes.
  • Take on delegated administrative/management duties and act on behalf of the Patient Care Manager during absences.
  • Coordinate patient care operations for assigned shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and desired patient outcomes.
  • Facilitate orientation, training, coaching, and performance evaluation of unit staff.
  • Participate in unit goal, program planning and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide competent and compassionate patient care as role model and mentor.
  • Serve as liaison to the Patient Care Manager.
Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
Experience Qualifications
  • Two (2) years of progressively responsible, directly related work experience.
Required Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to contribute to health care policy formulation in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Responsible delegation of activities according to ability, preparation, regulations and standards.
  • Lead process improvement projects and develop programs.
  • Set strategic direction and business plans for a functional group.
  • Initiate and implement change to improve quality and safety of patient care.
  • Provide leadership, influence, prioritize resources, promote cooperative behaviors, act as a role model.
  • Supervise, coach, mentor, train, and evaluate work results.
  • Use information technology to manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support decision‑making.
  • Knowledge of nursing theories, standards, emerging technologies, and health care system responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, protocols, and guidelines governing nursing care.
  • Knowledge of organization, administration, fiscal and personnel management in health care.
  • Knowledge of current trends in health care and hospital system organization for clinical management and coordination.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) – State Licensure or Compact State Licensure.

Compensation

Base pay: $83.98 – $111.27 per hour. Final pay will be based on experience, education, specialty and training.
