Talent Consultants is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Geriatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team, specializing in the care of older adults. The Geriatric RN will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to elderly patients, focusing on their unique physical, emotional, and social needs. In this role, you will conduct thorough assessments, develop personalized care plans, administer medications, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance the overall health and well-being of our geriatric patients.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of age-related health issues, chronic disease management, and effective communication skills to support both patients and their families. Qualifications and Requirements
  • Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; specific experience in geriatric care is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of age-related health issues, chronic disease management, and medications related to geriatric care.
  • Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to establish rapport with elderly patients and their families, demonstrating empathy and respect.
  • Knowledge of community resources and support systems for older adults.
  • BLS certification required; certification in geriatric nursing (e.g., GNC) is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and effectively communicate care plans.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
