Geriatric Nurse Practitioner, RN Nurse
Overview
Veterans Engineering is seeking compassionate and experienced Registered Nurses for our Geriatric unit. In this role, you will provide specialized nursing care to elderly patients, focusing on their unique medical, emotional, and social needs. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to promote optimal health and wellness for our geriatric population. Our ideal candidate is patient-centered, has a deep understanding of geriatric care, and is committed to improving the quality of life for seniors.
There will be opportunities for professional development and continuing education.
- Provide comprehensive assessments and individualized care plans for geriatric patients
- Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed by the healthcare provider
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, medication management, and healthy aging
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation according to facility policies
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of operation
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in geriatric care
- Strong knowledge of age-related diseases and conditions
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Travel to client locations may be required for this position and can vary based on project needs.
