F. Gamble Garden is seeking an organized, approachable, and reliable Office Manager to help keep our nonprofit running smoothly.
This is a highly visible, hands-on role at the heart of the organization. You’ll support staff, volunteers, and the public while working closely with the Executive Director and senior staff to ensure day-to-day operations, events, and systems are well coordinated and thoughtfully managed.

About Gamble Garden

F. Gamble Garden is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit historic home and 2.5-acre public garden in Old Palo Alto. We provide free public access to the garden and offer educational classes, events, community rentals, and a robust volunteer program. Our work is supported by a small professional staff, an engaged board, and a dedicated volunteer community.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee day-to-day office and administrative operations and serve as a central point of coordination
- Supervise and support reception staff, assistants, and office volunteers to ensure excellent front-of-house operations
- Ensure donor, volunteer, and committee records in eTapestry are accurate and up to date to support communications and reporting
- Support volunteer and committee onboarding, training, and communications
- Coordinate logistics for classes, workshops, special events, and major fundraisers (including Winter Festival and Spring Tour)
- Support membership and development operations, including gifts, renewals, acknowledgments, and reporting
- Partner with the Facilities Manager to ensure spaces are event-ready and well coordinated
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of experience in nonprofit administration, office management, or database-driven operations
- Proficiency with eTapestry (or similar CRM), Google Workspace, and general office technology
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience in a small nonprofit or volunteer-driven organization is a plus
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
- Friendly, proactive, and solution-oriented approach
Salary: $70,304–$75,000 (commensurate with experience)

A structured transition and cross-training period will be provided by the departing Office Manager.
