The Opportunity

TiE Silicon Valley is seeking a results-driven Marketing Manager to own the strategy and execution of marketing for our flagship conference, TiEcon, and our year-round program portfolio. This role shapes how founders, investors, executives, and volunteers discover, engage with, and stay connected to TiE Silicon Valley. Success is measured by outcomes, not activity.

The Approach

You connect marketing, membership, and engagement into one cohesive experience. You design how humans and AI work together to move faster, stay aligned, and scale impact, always keeping the entrepreneur at the center.

What You Will Own and Deliver End-to-End Marketing
  • Own multi-audience marketing strategy across founders, investors, executives, sponsors, and volunteers
  • Define ICPs, messaging, and lifecycle journeys from first touch through renewal
  • Deliver integrated campaigns tied to TiEcon and 100+ annual programs
TiEcon (Flagship Conference) – Marketing
  • Lead end-to-end marketing for TiEcon, a global conference with 3,000+ attendees
  • Drive awareness, demand, attendance, and engagement across all stakeholder groups
  • Partner with senior volunteer leaders, including CXOs and VPs, to translate program vision into compelling campaigns
Year-Round Programs – Marketing Enablement
  • Market TiE Silicon Valley’s education, GTM, thought leadership, funding, mentoring, youth, immersion, member engagement, and TiE Women programs
  • Build scalable templates, workflows, and repeatable campaign models
  • Improve awareness, participation, engagement, and retention
AI-Native Marketing and Systems
  • Design automated, AI-enabled workflows across channels and journeys
  • Build and operate AI teammates including custom GPTs, agents, and automation
  • Champion responsible, brand-safe AI adoption
Stakeholder and Volunteer Enablement
  • Build trusted relationships with volunteers, members, sponsors, and partners
  • Translate complex initiatives into clear, executable marketing plans
  • Communicate proactively and operate with discretion and professionalism
Measurement and Alignment
  • Define and track outcome-based metrics such as engagement, conversion, and retention
  • Keep marketing, membership, sponsorship, and programs aligned through shared systems
Required Marketing and AI Technology Experience (Must Have)

4+ years of hands-on experience using modern marketing, analytics, AI, and event platforms in production environments.

Core Marketing and Analytics
  • CRM and marketing automation:
    Salesforce, Hub Spot (including Breeze), Marketo, or equivalent
  • Email campaign ownership including testing, personalization, and optimization
  • Website analytics:
    Google Analytics or equivalent
  • Social and community marketing tools
AI-Native Marketing Tools
  • Generative AI:
    ChatGPT, Claude, Jasper AI
  • AI design and creative:
    Canva Magic Studio
  • ABM and demand:
    6sense or Demandbase
  • SEO optimization:
    Surfer SEO
  • Content repurposing:
    Opus Clip
  • AI automation, agents, and responsible AI practices
Conference and Event Technology
  • Event platforms such as Pheed Loop
    , Cvent, Bizzabo, or similar
  • Ability to integrate events with CRM, email, and analytics
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of marketing or growth experience, ideally in technology, entrepreneurship, education, or community-driven organizations
  • Proven success delivering multi-audience marketing programs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Experience marketing large-scale conferences or communities preferred
