Overview

Section Partners is seeking a Marketing Manager to join our team to elevate the firm’s brand through multiple marketing efforts and platforms. The Marketing Manager will work with the investment team and leadership to translate the firm’s perspective, portfolio activity, and market insights into compelling marketing and communications. Confidence, proactivity, and the ability to think creatively are paramount. The Marketing Manager will also lead firm events and may assist with projects related to fundraising, investor relations, portfolio support, and firm initiatives.

The ideal candidate is both strategic and execution-oriented.

This is an on-site role (it is not a hybrid position). Our team works in the office in Palo Alto, California most weekdays. Compensation will consist of a base salary and a performance-based bonus. Please note:

we are seeking experienced candidates with at least 3 years of work experience who can begin working full time with us as soon as possible.

Responsibilities
  • Develop high quality marketing, branding, messaging, and presentation materials
  • Ensure brand consistency in presentations, website, digital and written communications
  • Create new content and maintain core marketing materials
  • Manage the firm’s digital presence on its social platforms
  • Write press releases and manage distribution
  • Lead the preparation of quarterly reporting materials in partnership with the investment team
  • Plan and coordinate firm-hosted networking events and portfolio-related initiatives
  • Oversee end-to-end planning and execution of the firm’s annual investor conference
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or events, preferably in venture capital, investment banking, or private equity
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and project management skills
  • Polished written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Canva, and Google Suite
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Authorized to work permanently in the U.S.
