Position Summary
Sciton is growing rapidly and is seeking an Accounting Manager to support our expanding international operations. This role ensures that financial close and reporting processes across all entities are consistent with U.S. GAAP for consolidation purposes and with applicable local GAAP for statutory reporting.
The Accounting Manager provides accounting and financial oversight of the month-end close and is responsible for the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of financial records for multiple legal entities. This individual partners closely with internal stakeholders and external auditors and plays a key role in establishing and continuously improving accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
In This Role, You Will
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting team, including AP and GL functions as applicable.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes for multiple legal entities.
- Prepare, review, and ensure the accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and related disclosures.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Review journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Monitor, maintain, and enforce internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Partner with Finance and business stakeholders on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and serve as a primary point of contact for auditors.
- Support tax filings, regulatory reporting, and other compliance requirements.
- Develop, document, and continuously improve accounting processes, systems, and controls.
- Mentor, develop, and supervise accounting staff.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or leadership responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and SOX, including review of consolidation-related entries
- Experience working with multiple accounting and ERP systems; ability to leverage systems to improve processes (Syteline experience a plus)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with demonstrated business acumen
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in a dynamic environment requiring adaptability, creativity, and flexibility
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Compensation And Benefits
The salary range for this position is $155k - $175k. Factors such as relevant experience and academic credentials will influence the actual salary offered. In addition to a competitive market-based salary, Sciton provides an opportunity to participate in equity/stock incentive programs, a profit-sharing bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package, including 401K with matching.
