Overview
Our Employment Group is seeking a mid-level associate with employment law experience in both litigation and counseling for our Silicon Valley, San Francisco, or Santa Monica office. The ideal candidate will have experience advising employers on a wide variety of employment law issues, including wage/hour, terminations, reductions in force, leaves of absence, workplace investigations, worker classification assessments, and preparation or review of employment agreements and policies (offer letters, handbooks, compensation plans, and separation agreements).
Strong litigation skills, including experience managing single plaintiff as well as complex cases, are required. The candidate should have significant command of employment law, including California state and local employment laws, with a business-minded approach to problem solving for clients. Candidates should have top academics and CA bar membership.
- Advise employers (including early and mid-stage start-up companies) on a wide range of employment law issues.
- Prepare or review employment agreements and policies, including offer letters, handbooks, compensation plans, and separation agreements.
- Manage litigation in both single-plaintiff and complex matters.
- Provide counseling and guidance on wage/hour issues, terminations, reductions in force, leaves of absence, workplace investigations, and worker classification.
- Apply knowledge of California state and local employment laws to client solutions.
- Mid-level associate with employment law experience in litigation and counseling.
- Significant command of employment law, particularly California laws.
- Strong academic record and CA bar membership.
- Salary range: $260,000 - $390,000 (antici-pated range; actual base salary may vary).
