Contractor Civil Litigation Attorney

The Opportunity

We are seeking several junior litigation contract attorneys to assist in the defense of a federal litigation matter. Engagement is anticipated to last at least one year, with possibility of continued retention. Litigation experience required: 0‑5 years. Expected work: 20‑40 hours per week, flexible.

• Assist with high‑profile trade secrets litigation in federal court; on‑site or hybrid in Palo Alto.
• Develop and execute an aggressive litigation strategy, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Draft key pleadings such as preliminary injunction, dispositive motions, complex discovery requests, and responses.
• Conduct and defend depositions of key technical and fact witnesses.
• Act as core member of trial team, including examination of witnesses and argument of motions.
• Coordinate with other counsel, in‑house team, and technical experts.

• Licensed in California.
• 0–5 years of litigation experience.
• Expertise in complex business litigation, especially technology and intellectual property disputes.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy: superior legal research, writing, and presentation skills.
• Hybrid work schedule available, with on‑site at Palo Alto, CA.

• Detailed resume outlining relevant experience.
• Substantive writing sample: a non‑confidential litigation document (e.g., a Motion for Summary Judgment, a major brief, or a complex discovery motion) that demonstrates your analytical depth and advocacy skills. Do not submit boilerplate pleadings.
• Representative California cases that you materially participated in.
