SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to help support Employment and Labor law matters. The ideal candidate must have strong litigation support skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks with minimal direction. Experience navigating federal and state courts as well as various ADR portals is required.
Essential Functions- Draft pleadings, correspondence, memos, letters, etc. for respective employment and labor attorneys and/or paralegals
- Strong eFiling skills with Federal (PACER) and state courts as well as various ADR portals
- Provides general administrative assistance, such as maintaining the attorney's calendar and making travel arrangements
- Research regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist with the preparation of reports, case files, and legal advice
- Monitors on‑going matter activity and pending deadlines in litigation and transactional matters
- Provides substantive and stylistic editing for a range of internal and external legal documents
- Collects, examines, and organizes evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation
- Serves as a liaison between attorneys, clients, and the firm
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in employment and labor law matters
- Law firm experience required
- Experience with employment litigation at the federal, local, and state levels
$90,000-$120,000 ($49.34-$65.79)
