THE ROLEPrincipal UX Designer, Platforms
Quince is building out its platform business including client-facing platform products that power logistics, operations, and sourcing for modern companies and brands. These products will serve the new Business to Business (B2B) and Quince Logistics Solutions (QLS) verticals. Products include: self-service customization of Quince apparel, storefront platforms for housing and selling white-labeled apparel, tracking pages and admin views for brands using Quince Logistics, and distinct user login experiences.
This is a senior, highly hands-on individual contributor role. You will be a foundational, founding designer across these platform products, helping define their UX from the ground up. There is no established design system or mature UX framework yet, and you will shape early patterns, workflows, and standards.
This role is best suited for a senior designer who enjoys ownership, ambiguity, and creating structure where none exists. As a highly individual contributor role, you’ll independently drive design decisions while contributing to product strategy, including meeting with potential customers and conducting extensive competitor research in a fast-paced environment.
This role is required to be onsite 3 days a week in San Francisco or Palo Alto.
Responsibilities- Own UX design end to end across QLS and related B2B platform products as a senior individual contributor
- Design without an existing design system, while laying the groundwork for one
- Make judgment calls on patterns, hierarchy, and tradeoffs across products
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations to define customer-facing solutions. Work directly with customers to understand their needs.
- Translate complex operational requirements into simple, usable experiences
- Iterate quickly as the products and business evolve
Required:
- 8 years of UX or Product Design experience
- Proven experience designing B2B or SaaS products
- Experience operating as a senior IC with high ownership across multiple product surfaces
- Strong visual and UX judgment across dense, data-heavy interfaces
- Comfort working in ambiguous, early-stage product environments
Preferred:
- Experience as an early or first designer on a product or platform
- Experience defining early design patterns or systems
- Background designing system-driven or operational products
- Familiarity with logistics, fulfillment, or supply-chain products
These platform products represent a new phase of growth for Quince. This role offers meaningful ownership and the opportunity to shape foundational UX for tools that external brands will rely on every day.
