Cyber Security Consultant

Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Cyber Security Specialist to join us as a consultant and help elevate our security products. You will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, monitoring, and fine-tuning of security infrastructure, along with threat detection and incident response. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in managing SIEM/XDR platforms, handling firewalls, and implementing enterprise-grade security frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and maintain enterprise-grade SIEM and XDR tools.

• Proactively monitor networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions.

• Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents and conduct post-event analysis.

• Design and implement mitigation strategies to minimize cybersecurity risks.

• Work with Dev Ops and IT teams to embed security best practices across infrastructure.

• Draft and update security policies, standards, and documentation.

• Conduct regular audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing support.

• Train internal teams on cybersecurity awareness and incident handling protocols.

Required Skills & Tools

• XDR/EDR solutions (e.g., Crowd Strike, Sentinel One, Microsoft Defender)

• Firewalls and network security (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA)

• Strong understanding of Incident Response, threat intelligence, and log analysis

• Familiarity with frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and MITRE ATT&CK

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent

• 5–8 years of experience in cybersecurity roles, preferably in consulting or managed security services

• Certifications such as CEH, CISSP, GCIA, or CompTIA Security+ are a strong plus

• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills
