About the OpportunityOur client, a leader in the technology sector, is looking for a skilled Technical Program Manager to join their team for a 6-month+ engagement. This project involves leading and supporting a broad range of high-impact initiatives across enterprise systems, infrastructure, and IT operations, with a primary focus on enhancing PMO governance, standards, and operating frameworks. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & DeliverablesThis role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Program Leadership: Lead end-to-end delivery of complex IT programs spanning enterprise systems, infrastructure, and operational initiatives.
- Planning & Management: Develop project plans, timelines, and roadmaps aligned to business and technical priorities, including managing budgets, resources, and vendor deliverables as needed.
- Governance & PMO: Contribute to PMO governance frameworks and standardized processes, including establishing consistent project intake and portfolio management practices.
- Stakeholder Facilitation: Facilitate alignment between business stakeholders, technical leads, and executive sponsors to ensure program objectives are met.
- Reporting & Documentation: Provide clear status reports and executive-level presentations, while ensuring documentation, meeting notes, and project materials are complete and up to date.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong experience managing complex technical programs in an IT organization.
- Deep expertise in delivering projects in at least two of the following areas:
Enterprise systems (ERP, HR, CRM, finance, supply chain), Infrastructure (network, data center, servers, storage, cloud), or IT operations (service management, automation, monitoring, support). - Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage your own time effectively to meet project goals, and drive clarity in ambiguous situations.
- Experience with frameworks such as Agile, Waterfall, ITIL, and hybrid models, as well as setting up and managing projects in Jira and Confluence.
- Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates and translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Experience contributing to or establishing PMO governance and standards.
- Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, CSM, ITIL Foundation, or SAFe credentials.
- Experience with cloud platforms and modern enterprise SaaS ecosystems.
