Senior AI​/ML Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data / AI / ML Software Engineer with 7+ years of experience building data-intensive systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys designing and improving core platform components at the intersection of software engineering, AI/ML/NLP, and data engineering.

You will contribute to a clinical data intelligence platform that supports applications used daily by clinicians. Experience in healthcare or medical domains is a plus, but not required.

• Design, build, and enhance clinical and health information extractors and summarization systems

• Work with large volumes of structured and unstructured data to scrape, collect, extract, transform, analyze, and derive insights

• Evaluate system quality and performance to continuously improve models, pipelines, and outputs

• Expand and refine a clinical knowledge graph using data-driven insights

• Build and maintain supporting data, AI, and ML infrastructure and automation

• Develop and deploy secure, production-grade software while ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability

• Ensure systems and processes comply with applicable security and privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA, SOC
  2)

• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support system reliability and uptime

• 7+ years of full-time (non-internship, non-contract) experience in AI/ML engineering, data engineering, or full-stack software engineering

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building production systems

• Hands-on experience with AI/ML systems, including NLP and data-driven pipelines

• Comfort working with complex, large-scale datasets and data-intensive applications

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Experience in healthcare, clinical, or medical data environments is a plus but not required
