Overview
Field Services Technician — Onsite in Palo Alto, California or in Newark, California. Must have reliable transportation. 3-6 months, contract to hire. Pay: $30-$35 an hour.
Position DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Services Technician to provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users across various platforms. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, a proactive mindset, and excellent communication skills to ensure seamless IT operations and user satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Provide hands-on support for Windows operating systems, including Windows 7 troubleshooting and Windows 10 re-imaging/migration.
- Assist with Mac OS issues (nice to have).
- Troubleshoot and resolve Office 365 application issues.
- Support network connectivity, including Wi-Fi troubleshooting for end-users.
- Utilize basic Power Shell commands for single-line troubleshooting (preferred).
- Maintain accurate documentation of issues and resolutions.
- Deliver exceptional customer service with a customer advocate mentality.
- Collaborate effectively with diverse teams and end-users.
- Experience with Windows operating systems (Windows 7 required; Windows 10 preferred).
- Familiarity with Mac OS (nice to have).
- Proficient in Office 365 troubleshooting.
- Basic networking knowledge for connectivity issues.
- Power Shell experience for basic troubleshooting (preferred).
- CompTIA A+ certification (nice to have).
- Strong sense of ownership: "Regardless of the problem, we own it."
- Customer-first approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels.
