Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Glean is a work‑AI platform that helps organizations work smarter with AI, offering intelligent search, an AI assistant, and scalable AI agents on a secure, open platform.

We’re looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to help ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of our cloud‑based services. You will build and maintain robust, scalable, and highly available infrastructure, automate deployments, and mentor teams.

• Lead technical excellence and mentorship across engineering teams.
• Design, implement, and maintain resilient cloud architectures.
• Lead incident management, on‑call duties, and post‑mortems.
• Develop automation scripts, tools, and processes to streamline deployment and monitoring.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and cost of cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with security engineers to enforce best practices and compliance.
• Configure monitoring, alerting, and dashboards for production.
• Participate in design reviews and provide SRE insights during development.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of senior‑level SRE or similar role experience.
• 5+ years of software development in one or more programming languages.
• 2+ years of people/team management and project leadership.
• Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
• Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Solid networking, security, and SRE best‑practice knowledge.
• Proficiency with monitoring and alerting tools.

This role is hybrid (four days per week in a Bay Area office).

Base salary: $155,000 – $250,000 annually (plus variable compensation, equity, and benefits). We offer medical, vision, dental, 401(k) matching, paid time off, home‑office stipend, and annual education and wellness stipends.
