Lobby Ambassador​/Bellperson

Job Summary

The Lobby Ambassador/Bellperson at the Sheraton Palo Alto is responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a seamless arrival and departure experience for all hotel guests. This is a full‑time, hourly position that will require the individual to work in both the lobby and baggage areas. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role and possess excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.

This position offers an hourly rate of $22 per hour, paid biweekly. Full‑time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement within the company.

• Greet guests upon arrival and assist with luggage transportation
• Escort guests to their rooms and explain hotel amenities, services, and policies
• Provide recommendations and directions for local attractions, restaurants, and transportation options
• Handle guest requests and complaints in a prompt and professional manner
• Maintain a clean and organized lobby and baggage area
• Assist with valet parking and managing guest vessels
• Coordinate with front desk and concierge to ensure efficient and smooth guest check‑in and check‑out
• Monitor and report any maintenance or safety issues in the lobby and baggage areas
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1‑2 years of previous hospitality or customer service experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Knowledge of local area and attractions preferred
• A positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment
