About One Medical One Medical is a primary care solution challenging the industry status quo by making quality care more affordable, accessible and enjoyable. This role is a Lab Services Specialist/Member Support Specialist (Phlebotomist/Administrative Assistant) at one of our offices and involves providing venipuncture and other clinical support services, while delivering an exceptional patient experience. You will be the first point of contact for patients and help maintain an on-brand office lobby appearance.

Responsibilities- Use impeccable C-I-CARE in all patient interactions, ensuring a fluid and positive in-office experience through patient intake, same day schedule management, appropriate follow up scheduling, knowledge of billing and insurance, monitoring patient feedback and assisting with outreach as necessary
- Provide best in class venipuncture services across age groups depending on location
- Perform and assist with extended scope duties such as non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs
- Maintain high standards of in-office care through proper specimen labeling, handling and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization
- Care for members beyond the lab by answering patient messages, following up on lab cases and assisting providers and the virtual medical team with clerical duties (e.g., biometric screening forms, medical records review, billing inquiries, DOH reporting)
- Front of house duties including check in/check out, insurance verification, printing/paperwork tasks, prepping tests, and tasking to service level expectations
- Contribute to team development through rounding, team huddles, problem solving, and ad hoc support for in-office providers
- Perform opening and closing duties and daily office upkeep, including restocking supplies and maintaining a clean, organized space
- Master our technology suite (Slack, G-suite, Zoom, Circulation, Ring Central, EMR) to interact with team members and complete daily work

What You’ll Need- At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of training/externship
- Active phlebotomy certification to practice in CA
- Strong customer service skills and ability to deliver customer-centric solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency with computers and multiple software systems
- Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams (remote teams a plus)
- Ability to deliver confident, human-centered care during the collection process
- Proven ability to adapt to change, take initiative, and learn quickly
One Medical is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The range for this role is $27.00 to $29.00 per hour based on a standard full-time schedule with a 1.25x differential for eligible extended hours. Total compensation packages may include benefits. For more information, visit
Location & Schedule This is a full-time role (40 hrs/week) with 8-hour shifts on weekdays; weekends are possible, generally between 8:00 am and 9:00 pm, in Palo Alto, Sunnyvale, and Menlo Park.
